Copyright & Sources

This page discloses the project's fan-work status, reference data, asset attribution, and approach to rights concerns.

PalCraft is an unofficial, noncommercial Palworld fan project for educational demonstration. It is not affiliated with, authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Pocketpair.

Effective and last updated: July 23, 2026

01Original project elements

This project independently implements its web and desktop application code, merge-gameplay arrangement, interface design, level structure, game balance, and original writing. Unless expressly licensed otherwise, these original elements are provided only for this project's noncommercial educational demonstration.

02Rights relating to Palworld

Rights in Palworld, its Pal characters, names, images, related trademarks, and setting belong to Pocketpair, Inc. and the respective rights holders. This project does not claim ownership of that third-party content or claim to have received official authorization.

The project is created and distributed free of charge with the intention of following Pocketpair's Guidelines for Derivative Works. It contains no fees, advertising, in-app purchases, sponsorships, or other monetization.

03Data and asset sources

  • Names and Paldeck data: Pal names, Paldeck numbers, and public reference information were checked against paldb.cc. Public availability does not mean copyright has been waived, and this project does not claim ownership of its database or web content.
  • Character images: Current runtime assets are primarily sourced from public file pages on Palworld Wiki. Individual source URLs, upstream revisions, and local hashes are recorded in the asset manifest. A small number of images were adapted through background separation and similar processing.
  • Music and sound effects: Sources include Cal McEachern and BenjaTheMaker on OpenGameArt and asset packs by Kenney. They are used under CC0 / public-domain terms; file-level details are listed in the audio attribution file.
  • Display font: Lilita One is bundled locally under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; see OFL.txt. Body copy uses fonts installed on the user's device.

04Avoiding official confusion and rights concerns

This project is not intended to infringe or replace any right holder's work and will not be distributed as an official product. Derivative-work guidelines are not a legal guarantee that a particular work is non-infringing. If Pocketpair, an asset creator, or another right holder believes any content is used improperly, please provide details through GitHub Issues. The developer will review the concern and, where necessary, correct, replace, remove, or stop distributing the relevant content.

05Noncommercial restriction

The project and its third-party characters, images, names, and other content may not be used for paid distribution, advertising, sponsorship, merchandise, paid services, or any other commercial purpose. This notice does not alter the rights or license terms applicable to any third-party material.

This page transparently discloses project sources and the developer's position. It is not legal advice and does not expand the scope of any third-party license or derivative-work guideline.
